Our Powder Coating Facility
Our brand new facility was specifically designed for our powder coating process. It is laid out in a particular order to always keep our oven burning and to keep product efficiently moving through their steps. It helps us follow our process perfectly to stay on pace for a quick turnaround.
Step 1: Sandblast
The process of sandblasting is removing all impurities from the metal surface and creating a profile for the primer and powder coat to adhere to. It is used as a cleaning process for the metal too.
Step 2: Prime
A primer is then applied to the sand paper like surface. Then it is baked at a high temperature to allow the primer to fully set into the surface of the metal. This process stops chips and rust from spreading across to other parts of the metal.
Step 3: Powder Coat
After the primer is baked, set, and completely dried, then the metal surface is ready for the finishing touch. The powder coat color of your choice is sprayed on to the metal surface, baked, then made ready for pick-up.
